EducationUSA (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan)
The services and resources offered by the Education Advising Center include:
· Group Advising Sessions and Individual Consultations;
· English Language Reference Library
· Workshops/Classes/Presentations/Interest Clubs
· Information on Standardized Testing (TOEFL,SAT,GRE) and Scholarships for US universities and colleges
· Computer Lab/Internet Access The Ashgabat EAC is the largest in a network of American Centers and American Corners across Turkmenistan. More than 50 visitors a day use the center’s library, reference materials and educational information services.
EAC Resources
The EAC library contains books on business and economics, U.S. history and geography, encyclopedias, college and university handbooks and catalogues, test preparation materials (TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT), newspapers, and magazines, are also available in the library.
Computer Lab/Internet
The Educational Advising Center offers free internet access which is available Monday-Friday from 9:30-19:30. Visitors may sign up to use the Internet for 30 minutes per day. The Internet may be used for educational purposes only.

EducationUSA Advising Centers
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) work to promote U.S. higher education by supporting a global network of EducationUSA advising centers. There are over 450 Educational Advising Centers spanning 8 regions and 170 countries around the world. These advising centers can be found in a variety of institutions, including U.S. Embassies, ministries, Fulbright Commissions, binational centers, local universities, and non-profit organizations.
Each year, these advising centers offer assistance to over 25 million prospective international students, via phone, email, in person, or on the Internet. EducationUSA advising centers are equipped to provide students with unbiased, accurate, and comprehensive advice on U.S. study opportunities.
