The American Center, part of the Embassy’s Public Affairs Section, is a public library, public Internet center and meeting place for English-language instruction and Embassy speaker programs. The American Center library has thousands of books, dozens of American periodical subscriptions and many electronic information resources and devices. The American Center’s focus is to make information available to any citizen of Turkmenistan who has an interest in the American people, American culture, the U.S. Government and American values in general. All citizens of Turkmenistan are welcome to visit during normal operating hours.

The American Center is open Monday-Friday 9:00-18:00 with lunch break 13:00-14:00. The American Center is closed on the national holidays of Turkmenistan and the United States.
