Inside a U.S. Global Brand: C5+O.N.E. Participants Visit Coca-Cola in Turkmenistan

On January 20, as part of its supplemental activities, C5+O.N.E. Cohort 5 participants visited the Coca-Cola production facility in Ashgabat. Field visits are a core element of the program, linking classroom learning in professional English, business, and economic concepts with direct exposure to real-world corporate operations.

Coca-Cola, a U.S.-founded global brand, has been operating in Turkmenistan since 1998 as the official bottler and market representative. During the visit, participants learned about the company’s history in the country, its organizational structure, and its role in the local market, offering a clear example of how American companies adapt global standards to regional contexts.

Regional Cooperation Through English Language Learning: 4th Cohort of the C5+O.N.E. Program Launched in Ashgabat

On May 26-27, the fourth cohort of the regional English language program C5+O.N.E. (Opening Networks through English) commenced in the Turkmenistan capital of Ashgabat. The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs sponsors and the American Councils for International Education implements this program. C5+O.N.E. brings together early career and experienced professionals from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
