2020-2021 TOEFL TESTING DATES IN TURKMENISTAN

Dear Test Takers,
Our top priority is the health and safety of all test takers and assisting personnel. Below are tentative test dates
for Turkmenisan which may change depending on public health restrictions. Please check the status of the test dates
on our website regularly for possible cancellations.

TOEFL (TEST OF ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE)
Register online with a credit card at: www.ets.org/toefl

Note: American Councils will receive your unofficial score results ONLY if you write our institution code
(3784) during online registration. Please see below TOEFL test rules regarding receiving unofficial scores.

  • November 14, 2020
  • February 13, 2021
  • April 10, 2021

TOEFL TEST RULES

1. American Councils will receive unofficial score results only if you write our institution code (3784) on your TOEFL answer sheets during online registration. The result will be available after 3 weeks
from the test date.

2. To learn your unofficial score result, you are required to come with your passport to American Councils office.

3. Test takers from the regions ONLY (not from Ashgabat!!) will be able to learn their score result over the phone (993) (12) 36-90-16/21/22, if test takers can provide the following information needed:
a. Registration number
b. Date of birth
c. Mailing address they provided during registration

4. American Councils only administers the test and will NOT be able to provide any letter to certify any scores.
5. It is up to the test taker alone to get their official score from ETS.

Alumni Spotlight: Great Student Ambassador

Meet
Bahar Mammetgurbanova – EducationUSA Turkmenistan cohort alumna and American Corner volunteer, who is currently on FLEX program, studying in 12th grade at Stanley-Boyd high school, Wisconsin. Bahar was spotlighted at the Stanley-Boyd high school official page for her successful academic studies and for being a great ambassador of her home country – Turkmenistan. She has done a remarkable job studying at the US high school, being an active Stanley-Boyd Basketball JV player, and representing her country through over 10 cultural events that had more than 200 visitors in attendance. She is finishing her high school program in May 21, 2020 and is very excited for a new journey when returning back home.

Bahar now actively attends EducationUSA webinars and virtual information sessions to become a strong applicant at a US college or university for Fall 2021. Well done and way to go Bahar!

EdUSA Cohort Alumni Summer Internship Offer

Bagul Mammedova, EdUSA cohort alumna and Opportunity Program recipient, who is currently a freshman at Jamestown Community College, NY received summer internship offer at the International Institute of Buffalo, NY. Bagul will be begin her internship at the New American Integration Department as a Project Research and Development Intern from June to September. 2020. The Institute is an organization that assists immigrants and refugees coming to the U.S. by welcoming, helping with the settlement, and employment process.

It has a partnership with multiple organizations and national agencies such as the United Nations, The U.S. Department of State, USCRI, New American Economy and many more. The Internship is unpaid, and Bagul will be part of a team that organizes new cultural events and programs in Western New York (WNY). Bagul feels very excited and “honored to be a part of the internship program because of the Institute’s mission goals, which is to integrate foreigners in WNY and enrich the community with new cultures”.

As part of her internship duty, she will be “assisting to organize and prepare for the next Model UN, creating and developing new events, and helping to improve English language programs for refugees and immigrants”. Bagul believes the internship experience will provide an enormous opportunity for the hands-on that closely aligns with her college major and future profession in Global Studies.
