Job Description:
The American Councils are seeking a dedicated IT Specialist for a short-term program aimed at enhancing coding skills among high school students aged 13-17 in Ashgabat, Dashoguz, Mary, and Turkmenabat. The IT Specialist will deliver workshops, provide technical support, assist in the development of educational materials focused on various programming and design tools, equip participants with essential tech skills, enabling them to create mobile apps and compete in Tech Olympiads and hackathons.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with program coordinator and local staff to develop engaging curriculum materials tailored for youth audiences.
– Promote an enthusiastic learning environment to engage participants and encourage the exploration of technology.
– Assess participants’ progress and provide feedback to help guide their learning experience.

Qualifications:
– Strong knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Thunkable
• App Inventor
• Scratch
• Dart, Flutter
• Generative AI apps
– Proven experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
– Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
– Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Language Proficiency:
At least Intermediate level of English proficiency
Availability:
Candidates should specify their availability for a day of TOT in May/June and for five weeks sessions from June 16-to July 23, 2025, including any potential conflicts or limitations.
