Position Description
SUMMARY
The Professional Skills Development Program will be held in Dashoguz American Corner. The sessions within the program will focus on soft skills, MS Office literacy and English language skills, equipping participants with the tools necessary to pursue office jobs upon program completion. The program will be held from June 1, 2025 until July 31, 2025. The job is great for applicants who have project/event-leading experience and enjoys working teaching English to adults. This position reports directly to the respective American Corner Managers, but requires frequent coordination with the American Spaces-Experiential Learning Assistant and American Corners Grant Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

– Soft Skills and MS Office Trainer (1)
• Develop and deliver interactive workshops focused on MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and workplace-ready soft skills, including teamwork, communication, time management, and problem-solving.
• Design engaging and practical lessons tailored to the needs of participants with little or no prior experience.
• Utilize hands-on activities and real-world examples to reinforce learning.
• Monitor and assess participant progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Submit required data, attendance, and progress reports to the respective American Corner Managers by set deadlines.

– English Language Trainer (1)
• Develop and deliver interactive English lessons tailored to beginner and intermediate learners, with a focus on workplace communication and vocabulary.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage active participation.
• Use communicative methods such as role play, discussions, and group work to foster practical language use.
• Evaluate and document participant progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Submit required data, attendance, and progress reports to the respective American Corner Managers by set deadlines.

Qualifications:
For Both Positions:
• A bachelor’s degree in education, training, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant teaching or training experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with student-centered learning methodologies and tools.
• Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adhere to program rules.
Additional Requirements:
• For Soft Skills and MS Office Trainer: Proven experience in teaching MS Office applications and delivering professional development workshops.
• For English Language Trainer: Certification in TEFL/TESOL (preferred) and experience teaching English as a Foreign or Second Language.
