On January 19, 2021 Mary American Corner (MAC) will celebrate its 16-th anniversary.
From the beginning, MAC has grown by leaps and bounds, and now stands proud with impressive spaces equipped with the latest technology and unique resources. And it is quite remarkable that the foundation of the MAC program proved sustainable in times of unprecedented challenges. Thanks to guidance of the US Embassy Ashgabat and American Councils for International Education, MAC, equipped with the latest innovations in technology, reinvented itself to the virtual, and successfully engaged with its core audience while expecting the re-launch of its traditional in-person programs.

EducationUSA Turkmenistan: International Education Week 2020

From November 16th to 20th, EducationUSA has organized a series of online webinars to celebrate the worldwide event – the annual International Education Week (IEW) reaching out to over 291 people virtually. As IEW boasted with its 21st anniversary this year, EducationUSA organized the week full of virtual workshops featuring guest speakers from the US Higher Educational Institutions, US Embassy Ashgabat, American Councils and alumni of different US government sponsored and exchange programs who shared their personal academic experiences in the US, led panel discussions, educational activities, and shared information with interested students about US higher education institutions, degree programs, financial aid opportunities, and test taking strategies, all targeting one goal – to provide an in-depth understanding about the US higher education system and opportunities for international students.
